Who We Are

Takshif is not a software company looking for an archival market; rather, it is a specialized archival technology practice utilizing tools to serve the profession. Takshif is led by professionals with practical and academic experience in archive management, deeply understanding the daily challenges teams face in indexing, digitising, and preserving the historical integrity of records.

Why Takshif?

There is a deep gap between administrative IT/Document Management systems and true archival systems that respect the principles of provenance and hierarchy. Many solutions available in Arabic are either repackaged generic administrative software or foreign systems superficially localized without an understanding of the nature of Arabic documents and manuscripts. We bridge this gap.

How We Work

Our work relies on recognized archival standards (such as ISAD(G)) and proven technical solutions that we actively deploy in our projects, rather than selling speculative, future technologies. We employ advanced web standards and frameworks like IIIF alongside artificial intelligence, developing right-to-left (RTL) archival work environments authentically tailored for major institutions.
